Trivia:  Began acting as a child.

She once said that because of her red hair and freckles, fans have a hard time believing that she is Jewish.

She won a Theatre World Award and a Tony Award nomination in 1970 for the Broadway musical, "Applause
 
Where Is She Now:  Just appeared in the documentary "Broadway: The Next Generation"

After the series' demise, her television work became sporadic, and by the early '90s, she had left the medium altogether, though Franklin continues acting in regional theater and in cross-country tours of plays.

This little tidbit is from Trashy Tabloid reader Terry. I live in Ventura California and have recently seen Ms. Franklin at the outdoor farmer's market in our area. I believe she lives somewhere around here; maybe Ojai; just north of Ventura.
