Name: Lindsay Wagner

Born:  June 22, 1949, Los Angeles, California

Claim to Fame:  Who doesn't know Lindsay as 'The Bionic Woman?' She got the role after she guest-starred on "The Six Million Dollar Man". Her appearance was so well received that she was offered her own show, "The Bionic Woman", even though her character Jamie Sommers died on the "The Six Million Dollar Man." Fortunately for Lindsay, Universal Pictures, the studio that made 'Six Million Dollar Man', had let her contract lapse, and she was able to cut a lucrative deal for herself to star in "The Bionic Woman"... which she later won an Emmy Award for.

Family Life:  Lawrence Mortorff (6 May 1990 - June 1993) (divorced)
Henry Kingi (1981 - 1984) (divorced) 2 children
Michael Brandon (19 December 1976 - 1979) (divorced)
Allan Rider (1971 - 1973) (divorced)

Two sons: Dorian (born 1982) and Alex (born 1986). Also has
a stepson, Henry Kingi Jr. (born in 1970).

Info:
Earlier in her career, she was a much sought-after fashion model. She has also studied singing and worked professionally with a rock group but realized acting was her forte. She started off with small roles in acting first, and it was not until she appeared on "The Six Million Dollar Man" that she began to be really noticed.

Trivia:
 Niece of Linda Gray

Before Kate Mulgrew was chosen, Lindsay's name was often mentioned as a possible replacement for Geneviève Bujold as Captain Kathryn Janeway on the TV series, "Star Trek: Voyager".

The scar on her right upper lip is the result of an car accident she suffered in 1977.

Is a long-practicing vegan who wrote "The High Road to Health: A Vegetarian Cookbook"

Lindsay was the first choice for the role of Jessica in 'Logan's Run' but lost the part to Jenny Agutter.

Suffered with stomach ulcers at age 14 until age 21.

Was scheduled to be a passenger on American Airlines Flight 191 from Chicago to Los Angeles on May 25, 1979, but she felt uneasy about flying on that plane. Wagner skipped the flight, which crashed only minutes after takeoff, killing everyone on board.

Is on the board of directors of the Teen Talking Circle Project and is an active supporter of Girls Talking Circles.

Where is She Now:  'The Bionic Woman' Lindsay continued to act and appeared in many roles on TV. From guest-starring roles on established shows to a number of TV movies.

She continues to act and in June, 2006 Lindsay filmed the Lifetime television movie 'Four Extraordinary Women.'

And Lindsay also sang, during the ending credits, the Simon & Garfunkel song ‘Scarborough Fair’.

Also in 2006 she starred in 'The Surfer King.'

But probably right now the most visible thing that Lindsay is doing is appearing in TV and print ads for Sleep Number beds. She has been a spokesperson for them for a number of years.

You may also see Lindsay at various fan events. She appeared, with former co-star Richard Anderson, at the Bionicon in London in June of 2006.
