Info: Miller began entertaining at the age of 8 as a singer at a resort in the Catskill Mountains. He first tried his hand at acting while at a job painting scenery for a Summer Stock company. In 1952, he moved to California to be a writer, but then he met director Roger Corman, who told Miller he didn't need a writer, he needed an actor. Miller's first film with Corman was Apache Woman.

From there, his career continued to grow with roles in movies like White Line Fever, The Terminator, Bucket of Blood, The Little Shop of Horrors, the Tales from the Crypt movie Demon Knight, The Howling, Piranha and I Wanna Hold Your Hand. However, he is probably best known for his role as Murray Futterman in the movies Gremlins and Gremlins 2: The New Batch.

Miller also has many television credits to his name, including appearances on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and he also voiced the gangster Chuckie Sol in the animated feature film Batman: Mask of the Phantasm.

In 2000, Miller was featured alongside former collaborators including Roger Corman, Sam Arkoff and Peter Bogdanovich in the documentary SCHLOCK! The Secret History of American Movies, a film about the rise and fall of American exploitation cinema.

Trivia: Attended City College of New York, Columbia University and New York University ultimately attaining his PhD in psychology.

In many of his movies, he played the character of Walter Paisley. He first played this role in A Bucket of Blood (1959). He also portrayed Walter Paisley in the 1981 film The Howling, in the third segment of Twilight Zone: The Movie, in 1986's Chopping Mall, and the 1994 made-for-TV remake of Shake, Rattle and Rock! Also, a 1995 remake of Bucket of Blood featured Anthony Michael Hall as Walter Paisley.

Is always cast by the director Joe Dante for his movies.

Where Are They Now: In recent years, Miller has made a few film appearances. He appeared in the 2006 horror film Trapped Ashes, in the 2007 sci-fi movie Trail of the Screaming Forehead, in 2009's 3rd Shift: Michael's Lament, and as the pizza delivery guy in the 2009 thriller The Hole. He appears in the 2014 comedy Burying the Ex, and in the compilation of Biffle and Shooster comedy shorts, Schmo Boat and The Adventures of Biffle and Shooster.
