In 1988 she married Rob Wickstrom, with whom she had a daughter Sydnee. The couple divorced in 1996.

McDonough grew up in front of millions as Erin Walton, the middle daughter of the Walton family. She rose to fame in this role, and continues to be remembered for it to this day. She went on to appear on numerous TV series, including ER, Picket Fences, Will and Grace, American Dreams, and Boston Legal. She also served as a special correspondent for Entertainment Tonight and host of programs for The Travel Channel, The Family Channel, Spectradine, and United Way.
Trivia:
Suffers from Lupus erythematosus, which she blames on leaking silicone breast implants.
Where Are They Now:
Aside from a recurring guest role as Mrs. Wilhoite on the sitcom The New Adventures of Old Christine, McDonough hasn't been concentrating much on acting. Instead, she has focused her energy on activism, life coaching, and public speaking.
After experiencing and overcoming her own health issues, she began to help others by founding the fundraising organization, Lupus LA. She currently heads In The Know, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating women about their own health.
As a Life Coach, McDonough works with businesses and organizations to help them meet their goals effectively, as well as one-on-one with men and women to deal with a variety of life issues. She also works as a public speaker, addressing and leading groups on the topic of personal change.
