Famous for her teen movies and member of the famed "Brat Pack" in the 80's. Before finding success on the big screen she was a regular on the TV series "Facts of Life."

Molly released an album at the age of 6 entitled, "I Wanna Be Loved By You, Molly Sings". She is the youngest daughter of Bob Ringwald, the blind jazz pianist. At age five she starred in a stage production of "Alice in Wonderland", playing the dormouse.
Turned down the Julia Roberts role in Pretty Woman (1990) and the Demi Moore role in Ghost (1990)
Tried out for the role of Allison in "The Breakfast Club", but the director gave her the role of Claire. Ally Sheedy is quoted as saying "I'm glad you didn't [get it] because I could never have played your part."
She was also on the TV show "The Facts of Life."
Refused the Lea Thompson role in "Some Kind of Wonderful", ending her successful business relationship with John Hughes, who was said to be furious.
Her parents owned a cafeteria in Downtown Los Angeles
David Lynch sent her the screenplay of "Blue Velvet", in the hope that she would be interested in playing the role of Sandy, which was eventually played by Laura Dern. However, Molly's mother read it first and because it disturbed her, she never showed it to Molly for consideration.

For many years Molly lived in France and has recently moved back to the U.S.
Active in Theater. In April of 2003 she starred in a Broadway production of "Enchanted April" as Rose.
In August 2004 she appeared as Sally in "When Harry Met Sally" at the Haymarket Theatre, London thru September 2004.
Just opened on Broadway In Woody Allen's "A Second Hand Memory" (November 22nd).
Her most notable film role of late was in "Not Another Teen Movie" for which she was nominated for an MTV Movie Award for Best Cameo.
