Claim To Fame: Scolari has received the most acclaim for his role of Michael Harris in the series Newhart. He was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in 1987, 1988 and 1989 for the role.

Family Life: Scolari has married three times. His first marriage was to a New York attorney. Scolari was married to second wife Debra Steagal from 1986-1996, and they have two children together. He has been married to actress Cathy Trien since 1998, and they have two children.

Info: After an elbow injury hindered his dreams of being a professional baseball player, Scolari turned to acting. His first role was in his high school production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. He won a role alongside Tom Hanks as one of two crossdressing roommates in the 1980's ABC television sitcom Bosom Buddies. Next came the biggest role of his career - playing Michael Harris in the series Newhart. Scolari has reteamed with Hanks on 1996's That Thing You Do!, on the 1997 HBO miniseries From the Earth to the Moon, and on 2004's The Polar Express.

Where Are They Now: Scolari has appeared in numerous productions on Broadway, including Sly Fox, Hairspray, Out of This World and Ziegfeld Follies (Encores!), and he won the Best Actor Award in the Berkshires Theater Festival for his role in The Foreigner. He has continued to act in films, appearing with Jeff Daniels and William Baldwin in 2007's family film A Plumm Summer. Aside from acting, Scolari has juggled recreationally for years, attended numerous conventions of the International Jugglers' Association and has performed as a juggler in the television show Circus of the Stars.
