Family Life:
She was married to Michael Greenburg from 1984 until 1987. They divorced. She was married to her second husband Phil Bronstein from 1998 until 2004, when they divorced. They adopted a son, Roan Joseph Bronstein, in 2000. Stone adopted her second son, Laird Vonne Stone, in 2005, and her third son, Quinn Kelly Stone, in 2006.

Stone started her career as a model, first winning the title of Miss Crawford County in Meadville, PA. She quit school and moved to New York City to become a fashion model, and within days of her arrival, she was signed by Ford Modeling Agency in New York.
Later, she decided to quit modeling and become an actress. She was cast in Woody Allen's Stardust Memories (1980) and then won a speaking role a year later in the horror film Deadly Blessing.
Other roles in the 1980s include Irreconcilabe Differences (1984), the B-films King Solomon's Mines (1985) and Allan Quatermain and the LostCity of Gold (1987), and a role as Steven Seagal's wife in Above the Law (1988).
Stone's career got a boost when she appeared in Total Recall (1990) with Arnold Schwarzenegger. This was also the time when she posed nude for Playboy. It was her role as alleged serial killer Catherine Tramdell in 1992's Basic Instinct that really got attention and made her a star. After the film's release, Stone was listed by People magazine as one of the 50 most beautiful people in the world.
In 1995, she starred as "Ginger" in Martin Scorsese's Casino, opposite Robert De Niro. She received a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Dramatic Motion Picture for the role, and was also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress. She also starred in the Sam Raimi western The Quick and the Dead that same year.
Her role in the 2000 HBO film If These Walls Could Talk 2, opposite Ellen Degeneres, earned her the Women in Film's Lucy Award.

Is an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church.
Received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1995.

Her scar on her neck is from a childhood accident. She was riding a horse and she ran right into a clothes line and it ripped her neck open.

You can catch Sharon Stone in the upcoming film Lovelace, set to hit theaters on March 15. She appears in the 2013 thriller Border Run, and has two films in post-production: What About Love and Fading Gigolo, and is filming the comedy/drama Gods Behaving Badly in the role of Aphrodite. Stone is set to appear in the thriller Attachment, and the drama Mothers Day.
Stone currently lives in Beverly Hills, California and owns a ranch in New Zealand.
