Info: After a football and boxing career, as well as a three and a half year stint in prison for robbery, Burton began working with small theater companies in and around Los Angeles.

Some of his credits inclduing a role on the 1980s CBS comedy-drama Frank's Place, and parts in films such as Hook, The Toy, and John Carpenter's action film Assault on Precinct 13. He is well-known for starring in the Rocky films as a trainer to Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) and Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone).

Trivia: Was a Michigan Golden Gloves heavyweight boxing champion and two-time all-state football player.

In 1993, Burton was inducted into the Greater Flint Afro- American Hall of Fame.

Posted a 16-3 professional boxing record and held the Light-Heavyweight Championship of Arizona.

Along with Sylvester Stallone and Burt Young, he is the only other actor to have appeared in all six 'Rocky' movies.

Did three and a half years in prison for robbery at the California Institution for Men in Chino, California.

Is known as a talented chess player.
