He is the son of Sobeida (n?e Arias) and Balbino A. Valderrama, who owned a farm equipment rental company, He has two sisters, Marylin and Stephanie, and a brother named Christian.

Valderrama began his career performing in numerous plays including A Midsummer Night's Dream and Rumors. His first professional role was in a Spanish-language Pacific Bell commercial.
He hooked up with an agent and was quickly cast in the CBS miniseries Four Corners and in Omba Makamba on the Disney Channel. His first big screen role was an appearance in the Warner Brothers film Summer Catch, which starred Freddie Prinze Jr., Brittany Murphy, Matthew Lillard and Jessica Biel.
From 1998-2006, he played foreign-exchange student Fez on That '70s Show. In 2003, he played DJ Keoki in the film Party Monster, and from 2006-2007 he produced and hosted the MTV series Yo Momma.
Valderrama was the voice of the main character, Manny, in Disney Channel's Handy Manny series for preschoolers. He also voiced Rodrigo in Clifford's Really Big Movie, playing alongside John Ritter, Wayne Brady and Jenna Elfman. In January 2007, Valderrama launched his own men's fashion label called "Calavena".

Where Are They Now:
Valderrama has made appearances on a number of shows over the recent years, including a role as Theresa Russo's brother, Ernesto on the Disney Channel's series Wizards of Waverly Place in 2010. In 2011, he appeared in three episodes of USA Network's Royal Pains as art dealer Eric Kassabian.
He is currently working on a new sitcom that he created for Nickelodeon called Earth to Pablo, about a family that receives a teenage space alien instead of the foreign exchange student they were expecting.
Valderrama has also started up a music career. He released his song "The Way I Fiesta," on May 11, 2011, which he performed as his alter ego Eduardo Fresco.He appeared in the 2009 music video for Wisin y Yandel's song "Imag?nate". He also appeared in 2011 video for LMFAO's song "Sexy and I Know It".
He has recently signed up to co-star as a police detective alongside Jason Isaacs in NBC's high-concept cop drama, "Awake."
