Review: Cole Trickle (Tom Cruise), a young hot-shot stock car driver, gets his chance to compete at the top level - NASCAR. But can he control his hot temper while keeping the rubber on the road? 'Days of Thunder' is essentially 'Top Gun 2'. Tom Cruise has traded his jet for a race car, but not much else. Director Tony Scott delivers on the fast-paced editing and eye-catching cinematography, but this one feels like the old 'been there, done that'. Nicole Kidman doesn't really add too much as the love interest other than two weird scenes, one involving her throwing Cruise up against a wall, post head trauma, and the other has Sweet'n Low packets...that's all I will say about that. Robert Duvall is the best part of the movie, as he is in most movies. I guess if you liked 'Top Gun' or you're a die-hard NASCAR fan, then start your engines!

Fun Fact: Nicole Kidman wanted to study neurosurgery for her part, but the producers told her it would be a waste of time.
