Her first marriage to Tibor Hardik ended in divorce. She was married to Christian Klikovits from 2003- 2007.

Greene got her start singing in nightclubs such as The Brothers and Sisters, Grand Finale and Reno Sweeney. Although her first starring role was in the 1973 Broadway bomb Rachael Lily Rosenbloom (And Don't You Ever Forget It), her next performance as Chrissy in Joseph Papp's production of In the Boom Boom Room earned her rave reviews. It also won her the attention of director Paul Mazursky, who cast Greene in her first leading film role - as Sarah in Next Stop, Greenwich Village.
Greene was nominated for a Tony Award for her next role as Jenny in The Three Penny Opera at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre in Lincoln Center. She appeared in a number of productions with the New York Shakespeare Festival as well as numerous other companies. During this time, she also formed long-lasting friendships with Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, which led to her famous role of Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, a role she reprised in the film version opposite Rick Moranis.
Her career as a performer has also included theater parts, such as Suzanne/The Little Rose in The Little Prince and the Aviator, as well as in films such as I'm Dancing as Fast as I Can, Leon, and Talk Radio. She has made television appearances in Miami Vice, Glory! Glory!, The Adventures of Pete and Pete, Cybill, Law & Order, Suddenly Susan, The X-Files, Mystery Woman: Sing Me a Murder, Fielder?s Choice and Heroes.
Trivia:
Her mother is a guidance counselor, and her father is a dentist.
Attended W T Clarke High School, in Westbury, New York.
Spent summers at Cejwin Camps in Port Jervis, New York where she performed in musical theater productions.
Where Are They Now:
Greene performed in the musical Betwixt! at the Trafalgar Studios in London's West End from July 26 to August 20, 2011. In 2013, she portrayed Doctor Gale Macones in The Walking Dead Webisodes: The Oath.
In 2015, she reprised her signature role as Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors in the staged concert at the New York City Center as part of their Encores! Off-Center Series.
