Claim To Fame: Faith Ford is an American actress best known for her role as Corky Sherwood on the CBS sitcom Murphy Brown.

Family Life: Ford was married to Robert Nottingham from 1989 until 1996. In 1998, she married writer/director Campion Murphy.

Info: The daughter of Patricia Walker, a schoolteacher, and Charles Ford, an insurance agent.

Began acting while attending Pineville High School.

Moved to Manhattan at the age of 17 where she began to model and find commercial work.

Ford's sister, Devon O'Day, is also in the entertainment industry as a radio personality.

Ford was diagnosed with Graves' disease, an overactive thyroid. And since her diagnosing she has become an advocate for Graves' disease patients.

Trivia: In 1983, Ford landed her first television role on ABC's One Life to Live.

Her first major role was on the NBC soap opera Another World, playing Julia Shearer (a role previously played by Kyra Sedgwick).

In 1988, Ford cast as Corky Sherwood on the CBS sitcom Murphy Brown, for which she received five Primetime Emmy Award nominations. The hit series ended after a ten-year run.

In 1991, Ford was chosen by People magazine as one of the 50 Most Beautiful People in the world.

In 1998, she executive-produced her own short-lived sitcom, Maggie Winters.

Ford later starred with Kelly Ripa in Hope & Faith as Hope Fairfield-Shanowski, a homemaker who lives a peaceful life until her sister, an actress and Hollywood star, moves in with her and complicates her life in a variety of wild and surreal situations. It ran for three seasons.

In 2004, Ford published her own cookbook, Cooking with Faith; crediting her mother and two grandmothers for having taught her how to cook.

In early 2018, it was announced that Ford would return to a revival series of Murphy Brown along with costars Candice Bergen, Joe Regalbuto, and Grant Shaud. She appeared on all 13 episodes of the revival.

Where Are They Now: Ford just appeared on the Night Court revival series and in the Netflix comedy film We Have a Ghost. Next up for her is the drama film Dad's Party. It's currently filming, plus it's written and being directed by her husband, Campion Murphy.

It's always a pleasure to see Faith Ford whether she's back as Corky Sherwood or as a guest star on a hit TV series. Maybe there's a Hope & Faith revival series in the works? We shall see!
