Claim To Fame: Heather Thomas is an American actress, author, and political activist, who is best know as Jody Banks on the hit ABC TV series The Fall Guy.

Family Life: Thomas married Allan Rosenthal in August 1985 and divorced in September 1986. In October 1992, Thomas married entertainment attorney Skip Brittenham. Their daughter, India Rose, was born on June 19, 2000.

Info: She graduated from Santa Monica High School in 1975 and went on to attend UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, graduating in 1980. While at UCLA, she was a member of the Chi Omega sorority.

In September 1986, Thomas was struck by a car while crossing San Vicente Boulevard, and she sustained fractures to both of her legs.

Thomas became addicted to cocaine during her run on The Fall Guy, and entered rehabilitation for that addiction in the mid-1980s.

Thomas left acting in the late 1990s mainly due to the threat of stalkers.

Thomas's first novel, Trophies, was published in 2008.

Thomas has been heavily involved in activism for special interest groups and contributing to political candidates like Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA), Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Sen. Al Franken (D-MN), and Republican Mary Bono, since 1992.

Thomas and Brittenham became joint hosts of a monthly fund-raising breakfast gathering at their home in Santa Monica, California, which became known in Washington as the "L.A. Cafe".

Thomas serves on the advisory boards of the Rape Foundation and Amazon Conservation Team.

Trivia: Thomas started acting at age 14, when she was one of the hosts of the NBC series called Talking with a Giant.

Appeared in the TV series Co-Ed Fever, of which she later said, "It was cancelled after the third commercial."

Thomas appeared on numerous pin-up posters during the 1980s.

Voted "Favorite Female Newcomer" in 1982 by readers of US magazine.

Thomas wrote a screenplay called School Slut and sold it to a studio, but it was never made.

Where Are They Now: Thomas' most recent return to acting was in 2014. Hopefully, she will make a big comeback on either the big or small screen. For now, Thomas is dedicating the majority of her time to activism to help both people and the planet.
