Review: Horror icons George A. Romero and Stephen King bring us five terrifying tales reminiscent of the E.C. horror comic books of the 1950s. Anthology movies can be hit and miss depending on the creative talent behind it, but here you have steady hands on the wheel. Stephen King's writing and George A. Romero's directing really make Creepshow feel like a horror comic has come to life! It's silly, over-the-top, gross, and horrifying, just as it should be. The all-star cast (Hal Holbrook, Adrienne Barbeau, Leslie Nielsen, E.G. Marshall, Ed Harris, Ted Danson, Stephen King, Tom Atkins, and more...) are all game for the macabre movie they're in and really add credibility to the rather incredible things happening during each of the the spooky stories. Effects wizard Tom Savini's creature featured in story "The Crate" is nothing short of creepy, crazy brilliance. It's two hours worth of monsters, mayhem, meteors, murder, and massive amounts of bugs. This is a must-see especially around Halloween!

Fun Fact: Stephen King carried a toy figure of the character "Greedo" from Star Wars on the Creepshow set for good luck.
