Review: Struggling musician Peter Bretter (Jason Segel) is better-known as the boyfriend of TV star Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell). After she unceremoniously dumps him, he feels lost and alone but makes a last-ditch bid to get over it by going to Hawaii. However, she and her new boyfriend (Russell Brand) are there in the same hotel. Meanwhile, hotel receptionist Rachel Jansen (Mila Kunis), catches the eye of Peter, making for an uncomfortable, yet hilarious love square (is that a thing?) of epic proportions. Forgetting Sarah Marshall is a feel-good romantic comedy that is laugh-out-loud funny throughout. It has a great cast that balances themes of overcoming heartbreak with shocking laughs, and quotable one-liners. In my opinion, one of the best comedy films of the 2000s, and one that you can't help but finish if you come across it on TV.

Fun Fact: In the dinner scene with Peter, Rachel, Aldous and Sarah, the characters were discussing a movie that Sarah Marshall starred in about cellular phones killing people, and it being a metaphor for society's addiction to technology. This was a reference to the movie Pulse (2006), which the real life actress Kristen Bell (Sarah Marshall) also starred in.
