Review: During an eerie winter break, two girls seem to have been left behind at their boarding school. While they wait for their parents to arrive they start to notice a dark force looming over the campus. With no one to turn to paranoia, fear, and dread begin to take hold. This movie is super creepy. I watched it alone, in my basement, with the lights off, and it really freaked me out! This moody horror film is akin to "The Shining". It feels like a horror movie from the late '60s/early '70s. It's a tense, slow burn that makes you uncomfortable, in a good way. No jump scares here, folks! "The Blackcoat's Daughter" is NOT for your run-of-the-mill horror fan. It's dark, quiet, and eerie on a level that completely creeped me out and got under my skin. I'd say more, but I don't want to spoil anything about it. I definitely recommend this one to die-hard horror fans that want to see something unnerving, haunting, and very scary.

Fun Fact: When Emma Roberts read the script for the movie, she couldn't sleep afterwards because it scared her so much.
