Review: Two words - "Hot Garbage!"

The Da Vinci Treasure is clearly a full on rip off of The Da Vinici Code, and that's about it. It doesn't really establish much of anything. What aren't sure who the characters are, what their relationships are, who's doing what, and how we get from scene to scene and place to place.

And it's biggest crime is wasting to talents of veteran character actor and genre staple Lance Henriksen with some of the worst lines of dialogue ever spoken in a movie. I felt so bad for him and it seemed like he did only one take for each scene because of his embarrassment. He looked none too happy to be there. And I don't blame him.

Our two leads, C. Thomas Howell and Nicole Sherwin, do their best to make this movie work on some level, but I think you would need Tom Hanks' character Robert Langdon from The Da Vinci Code to figure out what the hell is going on in this picture and then he would slam his head in a car door probably became it would be much for fun and beneficial to his well being.

I actually laughed a lot during this baffling 90 minute fiasco, but it might have been because I was going slightly mad. Oh, and the editing of this crap-fest was horrendous with it's constant freeze-frames and the strobe light flashes for some stupid reason; I thought I was gonna have a seizure. Oh, it was terrible. I'm not kidding.

The Da Vinci Treasure is not only an insult to Leo Da Vinci, Lance Henriksen, the sighted, movie-goers, intelligence and humanity, but it tried to convince the audience that the Shroud of Turin was just a painter's drop cloth in the basement of an office building and it's fire proof. Come on, even the The Da Vinci Code wouldn't take things that far. Make like a guy standing in a closet with the lights off and don't see it.
