Review: Harold (Bud Cort) is young, rich, and completely obsessed with death. But after he meets a lively septuagenarian Maude (Ruth Gordon) at a funeral he finds himself living life to its fullest. I'm not one for romantic comedies, but Harold and Maude is one that I rather enjoyed. It's been heralded by fans and critics alike for years, I only saw it a year or two ago and found it's slow pace and off-beat humor refreshing. After watching this classic you would be hard pressed not to want to get out and start living life to its fullest. It's definitely not a movie for everyone, but it's sweet, funny, and romantic in every sense of the word. And the songs by Cat Stevens really add the perfect touch, too.

Fun Fact: Bud Cort wanted Greta Garbo to play the part of Maude.
