Review: Mr. Freeze is desperate to save his dying wife and Barbara Gordon might be the key to saving poor Nora's life. Batman and Robin race against time to save their friend before she's put on ice...permanently! Five years after the phenomenal Batman: Mask of the Phantasm this direct to video sequel of sorts continues the epic storytelling style, action, and adventure that began with Batman: The Animated Series. Much like in the series, Mr. Freeze is a tragic, bittersweet character with clear motives for his crimes. He does garner sympathy for a time, but as always, he takes things too far. Robin, the Boy Wonder, and Barbara Gordon, aka Batgirl, are almost more the protagonists here than the Dark Knight, which is a nice change of pace, but don't worry, Batman is around to turn up the heat against his icy adversary. I always believe that great villains make the heroes much more heroic. Mr. Freeze is a great villain making Batman and Robin two of the best superheroes around. A fun, exciting animated feature! A must-watch for Batman fans!

Fun Fact: The numerous addresses shown within the film place Gotham City withing the state of New York, and all phone-number area codes and ZIP codes correspond to New York City. New York City was one of the original inspirations for Gotham City.
