Review: I believe that the term 'So Bad It's Good' was invented because of Wes Craven's Swamp Thing. It's silly, goofy, and so much fun to watch! After a scientist (Ray Wise) is accidentally turned into a swamp plant monster, a government agent (Adrienne Barbeau) must help him save his research from falling into the hands of the villainous Arcane (Louis Jourdan). You know, that old chestnut!

Swamp Thing is definitely a B-Movie; and a DC Comics movie before that was even a thing. Cheap sets, bad effects and scene-chewing villains brings this one its cult status, but Adrienne Barbeau and her on-screen relationship with Ray Wise/Dick Durock (Dr. Alec Holland/Swamp Thing) make it fun, sweet, memorable and more grounded than you'd expect from a Swamp Thing movie.

Trust me, it'll seem bad at first, but it'll grow on you.

Fun Fact: Actress Adrienne Barbeau appeared in both Creepshow (1982) and Swamp Thing (1982), with both films being comic book movies and both debuting in the same 1982 year, with Creepshow (1982) being a tribute to both the DC & EC horror comic books, and Swamp Thing (1982) being a filmed adaptation of the DC horror/sci-fi comic book character and its "Swamp Thing" DC comic books.
